JOST VAN DYKE

The Parish Community:

There are a number of smaller islands. Jost Van Dyke is one which is witnessing rapid development. The Catholic presence on the island is represented by a few persons, resident on the island, who have been interested in having a place of worship on their own.

Since, Jost Van Dyke has great beaches, a campground and small resorts and rentals, and hiking, there is also a visiting Catholic population. In fact, Foxy’s is regarded as one of the best places in the world to be to usher in the New Year.

The BVI Catholic Community has bought a plot of land overlooking Great Harbour and the Bishop of the diocese visited the island recently and has suggested constructing a small place of worship.
